Rebloom Rehabilitation Housing
CONTEXT
Rebloom Women’s Housing is a senior studio project focused on addressing women’s homelessness and violence against women within an underserved area of Baton Rouge. The project responds to a critical need for safe, supportive, and dignified housing by proposing a combined shelter and short- to long-term living facility designed specifically for women in transition.
Rooted in the concept of healing, renewal, and autonomy, the design moves beyond traditional shelter models to create an environment that restores a sense of stability and self-determination. The space is intended to support residents through multiple stages of recovery and independence, offering both immediate refuge and pathways toward long-term growth.
Through spatial planning and a focus on emotional well-being, Rebloom prioritizes safety, comfort, and empowerment, creating a supportive community where women can begin to rebuild their lives with dignity and strength.
